Nurseries were an essential part of the rise of the apple industry along Northwest Arkansas, supplying farmers with grafted apple branches and seeds that best fit the region's unique climate and soil makeup. Local nurseries were an integral part of horticulture society, with many workers of nurseries holding horticulture society membership for their region. Nurseries worked to supply and help farmers in kickstarting their orchards, with the horticulture societies acting as the academic background for the successful cultivation of apple orchards.

With orchard fields begging to sprout across Northwest Arkansas, fame and notoriety for the apple products would need to be showcased. This came in the shape of county, state, and world fairs. Celebrations surrounding successful harvest seasons would be put on full display yearly, as an event to showcase crops and the unique culture that came out of it.
