Centennial Caboose, located in the Historic District of Rogers, Arkansas (2012 Photographed)
The city of Rogers got its prominent rise in the Ozarks thanks to Charles Warrington Rogers, a V.P. and General Manager of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway (Frisco). In 1881, the Frisco Railway carved into Northern Arkansas and discovered the small unnamed isolated community in the region, in which the community were internally grateful to Rogers for their community’s connection to a railroad system and honored the town by naming it after him. The city of Rogers remembers the Frisco railway contribution into kickstarting their town by holding a caboose cart near their historic downtown center as an everlasting memento to how rail lines shaped their community.
